This Saturday in Mexico City a warm atmosphere is expected with cloudy skies and Rain with showers are expected accompanied by electrical activity during the afternoon and night, reported the Secretariat of Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil protection from the country’s capital.
The National Meteorological Service (SMN) reports that in the Valley of Mexico in the morning a cool to temperate environment is forecast, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated showers at dawn.
In the afternoon, warm to hot weather, cloudy skies with very heavy rains in the State of Mexico and heavy rains in Mexico City, accompanied by electrical discharges and possible hail.
The National Meteorological Service has issued an alert for heavy rainfall in Chiapas, Oaxaca, Sonora, Tabasco and southern Veracruz.
These precipitations, together with very heavy rains in other states, could cause landslides, increases in the levels of rivers and streams, overflows and flooding in low-lying areas. The population is urged to follow the warnings of the SMN and the recommendations of Civil Protection.
Heavy rains in Chiapas, Oaxaca, Sonora, Tabasco and southern Veracruz could cause serious damage, so authorities are urging the population to take preventive measures.
Very heavy rains are expected in Chihuahua, Durango, the State of Mexico, Guanajuato, Guerrero, Jalisco, Michoacán, Morelos, Nayarit, Puebla, Sinaloa and southern Zacatecas, while Aguascalientes, Campeche, Mexico City, Coahuila, Colima, Hidalgo, Querétaro, Quintana Roo, San Luis Potosí, Tlaxcala and Yucatán will have heavy rains.
Intervals of showers are forecast for Baja California, Baja California Sur, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas.
