Jayakumar, who may be the president of Tirunelveli East district of Tamil Nadu Congress Committee, has sacked the administrators of Tirunelveli East district without giving any reason and appointed new administrators.

The incident of Tirunelveli Congress legislators changing the administrators without consulting anyone caused a shock. Congress workers who thought that such a decision by Jayakumar would hinder the party’s growth, demanded that the Tirunelveli East district president be replaced.

More than 500 supporters of Nanguneri legislator Ruby Manokaran protested in front of Sathyamurthy Bhavan. Tamil Nadu Congress Committee President K.S. Alagiri negotiated. As no result was reached in the talks, the party members sat in front of the office and engaged in dharna.

Meanwhile, there was a fight between the party members and they attacked each other. As a result, 3 people suffered blood injuries. The injured were taken to hospital for treatment. The police came to know the information and brought the activities of the party members under control.

Today, a meeting of Congress district leaders was held at Sathyamurthy Bhavan in Chennai. Yesterday’s riots were discussed in detail in the meeting. Two days later, a resolution was passed in a meeting of district leaders to suspend Congress MLA Ruby Manokaran. The passed resolution has now been referred to the Disciplinary Action Committee. After this, it has been reported that Ruby Manokaran will be removed from the Congress party itself.
