Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has announced that it will give a general amnesty to those who are in various prisons with the beginning of the month of Ramzan. King Salman ordered the amnesty. The General Directorate of Prisons has started the process to identify and release those who are eligible for amnesty among those in prisons.
Those eligible for amnesty will be identified and released in the coming days. This will include both natives and foreigners. Saudi Arabia follows a practice of granting public amnesty to deserving prisoners every year at the start of Ramadan.
