Jeddah: The Saudi Ministry of Commerce has announced that commercial registrations in the country can be canceled online and no special fees or penalties will be required to terminate the registration. The CR or commercial registration required to start a business has previously been canceled by going directly to the offices. For those who are not able to go online, just contact the office of the Ministry of Commerce in the respective provinces. It does not require any special fees or penalties for expiration. Certificate of cancellation of registration can be obtained through the website of the Ministry. Certificates proving that the CR has been canceled can also be obtained online.
However, there should be no registration of foreign workers in the CR when applying for this. Registration of branch establishments should also be terminated before cancellation. In addition, other licenses obtained in the name of the CR intended to be canceled must be revoked. Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority must complete the remaining transactions.
