Executions were carried out on convictions for murder and terrorism. Of the 81, 73 are Saudi nationals, seven are Yemenis and one is a Syrian national.
The country says those killed include those convicted of various crimes, including the killing of innocent people, women and children, as well as al-Qaeda, the Islamic State group and supporters of Houthi rebels in Yemen.
