The World Cup qualifiers in Asia ended today (Tuesday) with Saudi Arabia rising from first place, after 0: 1 over Australia, which in turn will meet in the playoffs the UAE who defeated South Korea. The 0: 1 victory, in an unimportant game for South Korea, raised them to third place when in a separate game Iraq and Syria were separated by 1: 1. In addition, Iran defeated Lebanon 0: 2, Japan and Vietnam shared points after 1: 1 and Oman achieved 0: 2 over China.
Saudi Arabia – Australia 0: 1

Japan – Vietnam 1: 1
Surprise in the game between Japan and the table lock ended in surprise. Ben Newan Than (19) stunned for the Vietnamese, while Mia Yoshida (55) equalized. Takumi Minamino and Takashi Kobo played for the Japanese who promised a promotion before the game.
Syria – Iraq 1: 1
a surprise. Although the two teams were not dependent on themselves, they parted ways in a draw in a game in which a victory would have brought the Iraqis closer to the Emirates. We saw early goals from the feet of Ala al-Dali (3) for Syria and Ayman Hussein (31) on the other side. Iraq finished home with nine points, while Syria won by six points.
Oman – China 0: 2
Although both teams came to the game knowing that their chances of qualifying for the World Cup had already been lost, the host still did its part on the way to victory. Arshad al-Alawi scored the first in the 12th minute and the second was headed by Fawaz Abdullah who doubled in the 74th minute.
