Saudi Arabia announced “the formation of an international coalition to establish a Palestinian state and implement the “two-state solution,” noting that “implementing the two-state solution is the ideal solution to break the cycle of conflict.”

The Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, said during a ministerial meeting in New York under the title, “The situation in Gaza and the implementation of the two-state solution as a path to a just and comprehensive peace”: “The first meeting of this coalition will be held in the Kingdom.”

Bin Farhan added: “On behalf of the Arab and Islamic countries and our European partners, we announce the launch of the international coalition to implement the two-state solution, and I am pleased to invite you to participate in the first meeting in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to contribute to achieving peace.”

He added: “We will develop a practical plan to achieve common goals to achieve the desired peace. We will make every effort to achieve a reliable and irreversible path to a just and comprehensive peace.”

He stressed the necessity of “moving collectively to take practical steps with a tangible impact to push towards an immediate cessation of the war and the implementation of the two-state solution, first and foremost the embodiment of the independent Palestinian state.”

According to the Saudi News Agency, SPA, he pointed out that “the establishment of a Palestinian state is a settled issue and not a subject for negotiations. Waiting for negotiated solutions in Palestine is no longer a possible option.”

He stressed that “the establishment of an independent Palestinian state is an inherent right and the basis for peace, and not a final result negotiated in an artificial political process,” describing the implementation of the two-state solution as “the best solution to break the cycle of conflict and suffering.”

Bin Farhan concluded his speech by announcing, “in the name of the Arab and Islamic countries and European partners, the launch of an international coalition to implement the two-state solution, and he called on all countries to join it.”

The Saudi Foreign Minister touched on the Israeli bombing of Lebanon and said: “These days, we are witnessing a dangerous regional escalation that affects the sisterly Lebanese Republic and leads us to the danger of the outbreak of a regional war that threatens our region and the entire world.”

“The number of people killed in the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip since the seventh of last October has risen to 41,534, and the number of wounded is 96,092, the majority of whom are children and women.”
