In a recent inspection of businesses in various cities in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, more than 26,000 establishments were fined for non-compliance with health regulations. The inspections, which were conducted by municipal officials, involved over 80,000 field visits to businesses last year, with the participation of 150 officials.

In the province of Albaha, 55,205 field inspections were carried out, resulting in 14,364 violations being registered and fines being imposed on the violators. Additionally, 14,294 kilograms of useless food items were seized and destroyed as a result of the inspections.

Dr. Ali Alsawat, the Mayor of Albaha, stated that punitive measures will be taken against those who break the law and urged citizens to report any violations by businesses to the municipality. This can be done by calling 940 or using the Baladee app, which was launched by the Ministry of Municipal, Rural and Housing Affairs.
