In January, Saudi Arabia increased oil production by 0.1% compared to December, but reduced exports by 0.2%, the website of the Joint Organization Data Initiative (JODI) reports, Day.Az reports with reference to Interfax.

Export volumes amounted to 6.297 million barrels per day (b/d), compared with 6.308 million b/d in December. However, it was 17.8% less than in January 2023.

Saudi Arabia’s oil production in the month before last amounted to 8.956 million b/d compared to 8.944 million b/d in December. In annual terms, this figure fell by 14.3%.

Iraq decreased exports by 4.2% over the month to 3.339 million bpd. Production decreased by 2.6% and amounted to 3.979 million bpd. At the same time, compared to January 2023, the first indicator decreased by 8.3%, the second – by 8.1%.

Oil production in Venezuela rose to 841 thousand b/d in January compared to 802 thousand b/d in the previous month. A year ago the figure was 732 thousand b/d. At the same time, supplies abroad from this country in the month before last amounted to 407 thousand b/d versus 459 thousand b/d in December and 466 thousand b/d a year earlier.

According to preliminary JODI estimates, the United States in January reduced oil production by 2.4% to 12.994 million bpd compared to 13.315 million bpd a month earlier. Meanwhile, over the year the figure increased by 3.4%.

American oil exports, according to the organization’s calculations, amounted to 4.141 million b/d in the month before last versus 4.527 million b/d in December (a decrease of 8.5%) and 3.514 million b/d in January 2023 (an increase of 17.8%). ).
