Saudi authorities confirm Haj ritual to go ahead this year
Riyadh – The Ministry of Haj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced on Sunday the decision to hold the Haj rite for this year (1442 H) in accordance with health, safety and organizational standards, in the wake of the novel Corona pandemic.
The ministry said in a statement, carried by the Saudi Press Agency, that the details of these arrangements and operational plans for the implementation of the pilgrimage, which aim to preserve the health of pilgrims and enable them to perform their rituals in an easy manner and in a safe environment, will be revealed later.
Likewise, the statement renewed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s constant concern to enable pilgrims to perform the rituals of Haj and Umrah, stressing that the Saudi authorities place their health and safety above all considerations.
