Saudi health service plan for Bangladesh; Five ships for inland service

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia plans to provide health services to the people of the interior areas of Bangladesh. Saudi aims to implement a 20 million dollar project in Bangladesh.

Runa Khan, executive director of the project, says that operations will be carried out from June 2023 through ships in the interior of Bangladesh. Five ships from Saudi will arrive in Bangladesh ready for service. The Saudi project aims to provide health services to about three and a half lakh people in the inland villages of Bangladesh every month.

About five ships named after King Abdullah will leave for Bangladesh with medical services. Saudi Arabia offers a wide range of services in the healthcare sector, mainly surgeries and a separate department for eye surgery. The Saudi service consists of one vessel of 31 meters in length and four vessels of 25 meters in length. Saudi ships will travel through the Padma and Meghna rivers to provide health services in the inland areas of Bangladesh.
