(Owais Kayani) Saudi Arabia’s Investment Minister Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih has met Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.
The Saudi Minister met the Prime Minister in Islamabad. The Prime Minister welcomed the Saudi Investment Minister and his delegation to Pakistan. Talking to the Saudi Minister, the Prime Minister said that the decades-long brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. which are getting stronger with each passing day, the Prime Minister further said that Saudi Arabia has supported Pakistan in every difficult time. It is an important milestone in the strengthening of economic ties, which will further strengthen wider cooperation between the two countries in areas of mutual interest.
The Prime Minister congratulated the Saudi Minister of Investment on receiving the Hilal Pakistan Award, which is a recognition of his outstanding services in advancing Pakistan-Saudi relations. Expressing good wishes, the Prime Minister expressed his happiness over the productive discussions held at the Pakistan Saudi Business Forum. Saudi Arabia’s determination to deepen economic cooperation has been highlighted.
The Prime Minister mentioned his recent visits to Saudi Arabia and his meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and said that this visit of the Saudi minister is the third high-level visit within six months, which is proof of the increasing momentum in bilateral relations. The Prime Minister also highlighted the progress made by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), which is playing an important role in accelerating foreign investment in Pakistan. What also encouraged Saudi Arabia to invest in Pakistan’s aviation sector, especially in the outsourcing of Pakistan’s international airports?
The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s unshakable commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia, especially regional and global challenges. He expressed Pakistan’s determination to strengthen defense ties including support for Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. praised the leadership of Saudi Arabia.
The Prime Minister further said that Pakistani immigrants are playing an important role in the economic development of both countries. Reiterating the commitment of Saudi Arabia, he added that the 27 memorandums of understanding being signed today is just the beginning of the journey. In the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir and the Federal Minister were also present.
