The directorate said in a statement: It “calls on citizens and residents not to respond to fictitious advertisements on social media sites about performing Hajj on behalf of others, securing and distributing sacrifices for the guests of God, selling Hajj bracelets, providing means of transportation, and other misleading advertisements for the purpose of deception and fraud through persons and institutions.” Fake, and the penalties prescribed by law will be applied against those who are caught.”

The Directorate calls on “citizens and residents to abide by Hajj regulations and instructions, and to report anyone who violates this by calling the numbers (911) in the regions of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Riyadh, and Al-Sharqiya, and (999) in the rest of the regions of the Kingdom.”
