Saudi Vellaka to the New York Indian Film Festival

‘Saudi Vellaka’ will also enter the 23rd New York Indian Film Festival. Produced by Sandeep Senan for Urvashi Theatres, written and directed by Tarun Murthy, the film was met with both audience and critical acclaim. Saudi Vellakka is the only film from Malayalam among the 20 films selected for the competition category from Indian films.

Saudi Arabia won applause by presenting the thousands of cases pending in the country’s courts and the lives that end after them. The film arrives at the New York Indian Film Festival after garnering rave reviews and audience acclaim in theaters and OTT at several festivals, including India Panorama in Goa. The film was also considered for the ICFT UNESCO Gandhi Medal Award at Indian Panorama.

The New York Indian Film Festival, launched with the aim of bringing Indian films to the international stage, will be held from May 11 to 14, 2023. The cinematography of Saudi Vellaka starring Devi Verma, Lukman Awaran, Binu Pappu, Gokulan and others is done by Saran Velayudhan, editing by Nishad Yusuf and music by Pali Francis.
