Sawn timber: Gabon 3rd African producer

DIG/According to the report of the accounting firm Ernst and Young and the socio-economic studies firm Mays Mouissi Consulting, Gabon ranks now ranked 40th in the world for sawn timber producers and remains 3rd in Africa behind South Africa and Nigeria but ahead of Cameroon and Côte d’Ivoire.

Gabonese production of sawn timber now represents 11% of African production in 2022, compared to 5.6% in 2010.

You should know that in 2010, Gabon ranked 42nd in the world out of more than 160 countries and 5th in Africa in the ranking of sawn timber producing countriess.
