QJMotor continues to expand its range of sports bikes, a family that is increasingly powerful and interesting. After the well-known SRK 600RR with a four-cylinder engine, The Chinese firm already has its next racing motorcycle ready, the SRK 800RRa model that maintains a design similar to that already seen in the 600 cc version that also debuts a significantly more powerful and faster engine.

The Asian brand has been cooking up new engine concepts for some time to make its catalog more attractive, especially outside of China. We recently saw the presentation of a powertrain developed by QJ Motor with a V4 configuration and 600 cc displacement for a new cruiser-type model that will soon be released, and now we know, thanks to cycleworld.com, the arrival of another engine four cylinder, this time online, and 778 cc that will debut in the SRK 800RR model.

QJ Motor has already presented the approval documents for this new sports car in its country of origin, a process that has been accompanied by a full-color photograph of the final model. In terms of numbers, this new 778 cc engine continues to retain an external appearance very similar to that of the Honda CBR650R (In fact, the SRK 600RR engine nails its diameter per stroke), although internally their dimensions differ due to a logical question of displacement.

The engine is nothing revolutionary; It is the typical four-cylinder inline 8-valve, DOHC, liquid-cooled and a power of 102 hp, that is, 20 hp more than the 600 cc model. According to QJ Motor, the SRK 800RR is capable of reaching a top speed of 220 km/h. The chassis appears to be made of pressed steel instead of aluminium, and the final weight of the entire motorcycle, gasoline included, is 206 kilos.

Brembo is in charge of providing a pair of four-piston radial calipers in the front end, and the suspension, although it does not indicate it, seems to be in charge of Marzocchisomething logical if we take into account that Qianjiang, the parent company of QJ Motor, opened a suspension factory in China together with Marzocchi in 2021. The wheels are made of cast aluminum, and it fits medium 120/70ZR-17 tires. front and 180/55ZR-17, the usual ones in its segment.

Visually, the SRK 800RR is an aggressive bike; on the front we find a generous Full-LED headlight with two daylight strips on top, and there is no shortage of the usual spoilers that all the Asian brands are installing on their medium and high displacement motorcycles, another trend that came directly from the MotoGP World Championship.

The motorcycle is equipped with clip-on handlebars, although due to its height and the low configuration of the footrests, this SRK 800R can be considered a relatively comfortable bike compared to a traditional ‘R’. His seat, generously padded, contributes to this.

At the moment, QJ Motor plans to market its SRK 800RR sometime in the second half of 2023. Its arrival in Europe is not yet confirmed, but seeing the effort that the Chinese brand is making to enter our market -in Spain it already sells up to 10 models-, it is possible that it will end up landing in our country throughout 2024.
