State Bank of India (SBI) shares tips to avoid sms fraud in SBI
SBI Bank ALERT Tamil News: State Bank of India (SBI), India’s largest public sector lender, has guided its customers to stay safe. The bank has advised customers not to act on messages coming from unknown sources and to check those messages before processing them.
SBI said in its latest Twitter post, “Always check who is behind the door before letting anyone inside. Here is the key to your safety. #SafeWithSBI. ” As mentioned.
“You should check your messages to monitor the activity of your account and do not act on messages from unknown sources.” In addition, SBI guides its customers to verify that the message came from them by simply checking the shortcode beginning with “SBI / SB”, eg SBIBNK, SBIINB, SBIPSG, SBYONO. ” Said.

SBI also advises customers not to text any personal information on its website, including account numbers, passwords or sensitive information that could be used fraudulently.
Banks have asked customers to use caution if they receive a text message expressing an urgent need to verify their identity by updating their account, activating an account, or calling the phone number or submitting information on the website. These messages may be part of a phishing scam perpetrated by fraudsters to capture and manipulate your confidential account information.
SBI has stated that they never send emails or SMS or make phone calls to obtain customer ID.
“Smiling victims receive SMS messages. Called “Smiling”, these text messages may prompt the recipient to sign up for an online service – then try to infiltrate the user’s device with a virus. Some news outlets warn that consumers will be charged until they update their personal or financial credentials on the Website and extract such information and other personal data. ” SBI Bank said.
