SBI Bank’s online banking services were disrupted in multiple cities across the country, causing inconvenience to customers. The services have been down since April 3, affecting online banking, YONO app, and UPI transactions. Customers have taken to social media to voice their concerns and complaints about the issue. Many have reported their grievances on Downdetector, with the majority of complaints coming from Mumbai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, and Delhi. HDFC Bank’s online banking services also faced technical difficulties between February 28 and March 9. SBI Bank has not provided any explanation for the disruption yet.

The online banking service of SBI Bank, the country’s largest public sector bank, has been down since this morning (April 3). On the first day of the current financial year, online banking, YONO app and UPI services were down, leaving customers unable to make transactions.

Unable to make credit card payments, affected customers ask, ‘Why are SBI servers down? I have been trying to log in since morning. But unable to login,’ another netizen said, ‘SBI Bank’s servers are not working properly since March 31. The app has been completely down since this morning, the 4th day. Is this a cyber attack on the bank or is it routine? Answer required. They expressed their concern on social media.
Many reported their complaints on Downdetector, a website that tracks internet outages. It states:-

Complaints started coming in from 9 am that SBI online banking service was not working. By 10.59 am, the number of complaints had increased to 1,804. Latest Tamil News Out of the majority of the complaints, 65 per cent of the complaints came from Mumbai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata and Delhi regarding online banking. We have sent an email to SBI regarding this. So far no explanation has been given from the SBI side.
