“Miracles can be done with your own hands.” The phrase was written by Alexander Grin in 1923 in his short story The red sailboat A love story in which the young protagonist, Juliette, lived waiting for the prophecy of a ship with red sails that would come to pick her up and save her to come true. The same phrase opens and imposes itself as a commandment in Scarletthe beautiful and poetic adaptation of the story by the Italian director Pietro Marcello, who after conquering critics with his epic and complex version of Martin Eden (the work of Jack London), now does the same with the short story of the Russian author.
