jpnn.comJAKARTA – Chairman of Commission II DPR RI Muhammad Rifqinizamy Karsayuda said that the inauguration of elected regional heads for levels I and II would be postponed from the original schedule, namely February 7 2024.
According to Rifqinizamy, the postponement of this schedule is pending the resolution of the dispute over the regional election results at the Constitutional Court on March 13 2025.
He said this in order to answer questions from the media about the timing of the appointment of the district head will be postponed.
“That’s right, because the MK will only resolve all election disputes on March 13 2025,” he said via a message service to media crew, Thursday (2/1).
The NasDem faction legislator said that the inauguration was waiting for the Constitutional Court to issue a letter stating that it would no longer hear the dispute over the results of the 2024 regional elections.
“The Constitutional Court will only issue all letters stating that there is no dispute to all elected governors and mayors after the PHPU is completed at the Constitutional Court,” said Rifqi, nicknamed Rifqinizamy Karsayuda.
He said that the inauguration of regional heads at the same time was the basis for Indonesia’s principle of holding simultaneous regional elections in 2024.
“That is the basic principle of simultaneous regional elections,” he said.
