Scheduled Power Outages Announced for Bonda and Surrounding Areas on July 30th for Preventive Maintenance

In order to carry out preventive work at the Bonda substation, the company Air-e announced that this Tuesday, July 30, there will be activities that will involve the interruption of electrical service in several areas of the region.

The de-energization will affect circuits Bonda 1, 2, and 3 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. During this period, both the rural and urban areas of the Bonda corregimiento will be without electricity supply. The affected areas include San Isidro, Donama, Nuevo Milenio, Jirokasaka, and Transjordania. Additionally, the sectors and farms adjacent to the Mingueo-Santa Marta road will also be impacted.

The service interruption will not be limited to Bonda. The rural and urban areas of Guachaca, Buritaca, and La Paz del Caribe will also experience power cuts, as will the rural and urban areas of Calabazo, including sectors such as Barrio Loco, Puerto Nuevo, San Tropel, and Villa Suiza. Farms and areas near the road connecting Calabazo to Guachaca, as well as the streams Valencia, El Sol, Los Muertos, Maria, and Valencia, will also be without power. Among the affected places is the Mendihuaca Caribbean Resort.

In the city of Santa Marta, the neighborhoods that will be without electricity include Urbanización Nueva Mansión, Urbanización Garagoa, Cantilito, Timayui 1 and 2, Los Alpes, 11 de Noviembre, Monterrey, Nuevo Milenio, Urbanización Portal de Veracruz, and Veracruz.

According to the energy company, these preventive works are expected to improve the reliability and quality of the electrical supply in the affected areas.
