jpnn.comJAKARTA – President-elect of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto canceled his attendance at the PKS National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) held at the office of the white and orange political party, Jalan TB Simatupang, South Jakarta, Thursday (19/9).
PKS has previously informed that Prabowo will attend the Rapimnas with the agenda of strengthening internal consolidation for the target of winning the 2024 simultaneous regional elections.
The political party number eight in the 2024 election even made a banner showing Prabowo attending the location.
However, the man who is now the Minister of Defense (Menhan) did not come to the PKS office until the Rapimnas was finished.
PKS President Ahmad Syaikhu said that Prabowo was ultimately unable to attend the National Working Meeting due to state matters.
“He apologized for being unable to attend because he had other state duties that had to be attended,” said PKS President Ahmad Syaikhu at the PKS DPP Office, South Jakarta, Thursday, September 19, 2024.
Syaikhu said Prabowo’s absence did not dampen PKS’ enthusiasm in carrying out the National Working Meeting to strengthen internal consolidation.
“God willing, we will all be enthusiastic in welcoming our agenda to welcome the upcoming regional election agenda,” said Syaikhu.
