The Colombia Scholarship 2024-2 ICETEX is a program aimed at foreign citizens interested in advancing in their studies in Colombia. These scholarships offer the opportunity to pursue postgraduates in a variety of fields at both public and private higher education institutions.

The program offers full coverage of tuition, medical insurance, monthly stipend, installation expenses, the purchase of books and materials, and the cost of the immigration card.

The maximum duration depending on the postgraduate degree you choose is the following:

  • Specialization: up to 18 months
  • Master’s degree: up to 24 months
  • PhD: up to 48 months

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Foreign Nationality: Applicants must be foreign citizens without dual Colombian nationality.
  • Residence: Not having resided in Colombia during the last 6 months prior to applying for the scholarship nor having started studies in Colombia at the time of application.
  • Age: Be under 50 years of age at the time of application.
  • Links in Colombia: Not having any marital or de facto relationship in Colombia.
  • Previous ICETEX benefits: Not having been a beneficiary of ICETEX through the Colombia Scholarship program.
  • Grade point average: Have a cumulative GPA of 4.0 out of 5.0 in undergraduate. According to the grading scale of each country, the grade must be equivalent to at least 4-0 for the Colombian scale.
  • Academic title: Have a professional, undergraduate or bachelor’s degree in any area of ​​knowledge.
  • Admission to graduate programs: Have admission to at least one to three postgraduate programs that are in the Academic Offering Catalog 2024-2.
  • Physical and mental health: Have good physical and mental health, certified by a doctor.
