In a private school operating in Surana area of ​​Jalore district of Rajasthan, the teacher Salil Singh has beaten up the student Indira Meghwal for touching the drinking pot.

The boy, who was seriously injured in the incident on July 20, died yesterday (Aug. 14) while undergoing treatment at the hospital.

The issue has caused a stir across the country. The teacher has been arrested under SC and ST Prevention of Atrocities Act for attempted murder after the teacher beat up the Scheduled Caste student, resulting in the death of the injured boy.

The BJP has accused the Congress party of failing to protect the rights of Scheduled Caste and Tribal people in Rajasthan.

In this case, Congress MLA Banachand Maghwal has resigned from his post. He was a Member of Legislative Assembly from Atru Constituency of Baran District. In this regard, he said that a 9-year-old school student was beaten to death by the teacher. I am deeply saddened by this incident. So I am resigning from my post. He mentioned that people belonging to Dalit and backward communities are constantly subjected to cruelty and torture.
