Actor Ahn Se-ha, suspected of being a past school violence perpetrator
Additional testimony from a classmate who read the expose: “It’s all true, I don’t want to pretend I don’t know anymore”
As actor Ahn Se-ha (real name Ahn Jae-wook) stated that the allegations against him as a past perpetrator of school violence were “groundless,” additional revelations have emerged.
The first time allegations of school violence against Ahn Se-ha were raised was on the 9th through the online community Natepan. Person A, who claims to have attended a middle school in Changwon with him, claimed, “Ahn Se-ha was a bully during our school days, and whenever we ran into each other in the hallways, he would pick fights for no reason or swear at me.”
Mr. A said, “One day, An Se-ha and his group took me to the hot springs,” and “He threatened me by poking my stomach with broken glass and made me fight against my will. When I refused to fight, all the bullies rushed at me. It was so humiliating.”
He continued, “In the end, I ended up getting into an unwanted fight in the hot springs as An Se-ha had told me to do,” and confessed, “I still can’t forget that incident.”
Mr. A said that although he had never met Ahn Se-ha since graduating from middle school, he felt goosebumps whenever he saw him on the media. However, he said that he believed that Ahn Se-ha’s turn would come when he saw celebrities who were recently revealed to be school bullies stepping down from their works.
However, Mr. A said that he decided to make the revelation after hearing that Ahn Se-ha would throw the first pitch at the NC Dinos-LG Twins game in Changwon on the 15th. He said, “As a baseball fan, I couldn’t just sit by and watch Ahn Se-ha, a perpetrator of school violence, throw the first pitch,” and “I can’t applaud while watching my child and that devilish guy throw the first pitch.”
Mr. A said to An Se-ha, “If you have children, I hope you will retire and start a new life.”
Afterwards, Mr. A said at around 10 PM on the 10th, the next day, “I heard that Ahn Se-ha was asking her classmates for my phone number,” and “I asked her not to give my number to her friends. I will not file a lawsuit.”
After reading Mr. A’s post, another classmate, Mr. B, continued to make additional revelations about Ahn Se-ha, saying, “I am writing this to help the writer, even if it is late.”
Mr. B claimed, “What Mr. A wrote is true,” and “At the time, I was afraid of being retaliated against by An Se-ha and his group, so I did not call the teacher or stop them.”
He said, “The reason I am writing this is because I don’t want to pretend not to know this time,” and “I am currently working as a teacher and am the head of the student affairs department in charge of school violence. I always felt embarrassed when I told the kids, ‘If you have a friend who is being bullied at school, help them. Don’t just stand by and do nothing.’”
Person B also said, “After reading the article, Ahn Se-ha’s agency stated that this is clearly false and that they will take legal action. If necessary, I am willing to testify in court for the writer.”
Ahn Se-ha’s agency, Hunus Entertainment, stated, “The allegations of school violence are groundless.” They also submitted a petition to the cyber investigation unit on the 10th and said, “We will sue for defamation by spreading false information and respond strongly.”
Many netizens are reacting to the allegations of school violence against Ahn Se-ha by saying, “I think we need to hear both sides.” In the past, allegations of school violence against some celebrities have surfaced, and there have been online battles over the truth, but some of the accusers’ claims were not true.
