Three children attending the Joliot-Curie school, in Champs-sur-Marne (Seine-et-Marne), were targeted by a fifty-year-old on Friday, September 8, around 1 p.m. Fortunately, more fear than harm for the three 8-year-old students, although one of them was shot in the head, which triggered light bleeding. “The little ones explain that they saw a hooded man who shot them,” said a source close to the case, the newspaper The Parisian. After being warned, the teachers immediately confined the children in the classrooms, before calling the police.

He is a 58-year-old man, already known to the police. “This man was shooting a pellet gun from his balcony on the 4th floor at the children of the school, and he was under the influence of alcohol. At the shooter’s home, a pellet gun and two boxes of pellets were found. »
Motivations to be clarified
“He lives in the same building as my sister, he never caused any problems,” testified a mother near the school. “He is a man who lives alone. » After spending a few hours in the sobering up cell, the fifty-year-old was placed in police custody. Police custody which was maintained on Saturday September 9 in order to determine his motivations. The fate of the accused man must be known this Sunday, the Meaux prosecutor’s office having to give its decision concerning the legal follow-up reserved for this file.
