The incident in which a 10 year old student was burnt to death at a government school ground near Dindigul in Tamil Nadu has caused an uproar.
Sathyaraj hails from Bachalur, a hill station under Kodaikanal in Dindigul.
He is a laborer and has two daughters, Priyadarshini (age 10), Prithika (9) and a son, Naveenkumar (6).
All three are studying at Panchayat Union Government Secondary School in Bachalur and Prithvika is studying 5th standard in the school.
All 3 went to school as usual in the morning, then Prithvika went out at 11am and never returned to the classroom after that.
When they searched for him, he found his body lying charred on the playground, and everyone who saw it froze in shock for a minute.
Officers rushed to the scene, seized Prithvika’s body and began an investigation. Did anyone do this in retaliation? Why did you burn the little girl? The investigation has been intensified from as many angles.
