Schools in Tuva will prepare for the transition to distance learning due to COVID-19

by time news

The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tyva has begun preparing the transfer of schools to distance learning. The head of the region Vladislav Khovalyg instructed to consider the possibility of the transition of the education system to such a format of work. This is due to the complication of the epidemiological situation, the republican government reported.

The Minister of Education of the region Alexei Khramtsov and other specialists should analyze whether schools can switch to remote learning, and whether the system will work smoothly.

“It is necessary to re-evaluate the possibilities and, without waiting for the worsening of the epidemiological situation among schoolchildren, to transfer education to a distance format,” the press service of the government quotes Vladislav Khovalyg.

Recall that the day before, the leadership of the republic decided to tighten restrictive measures due to the worsening epidemiological situation: the first cases of infection with a new strain of coronavirus “omicron” were recorded in Tuva.
