There wasn’t enough snow for skiing

The first would have been committed by the former Formula 1 driver himself, who was not very careful in skiing off-piste on a day when there was very little snow: “You don’t go there on a day like that. It was clear that there wasn’t enough snow to ski” the ski instructor actually confessed to the German journalist.

Rescuers underestimated the severity of Schumi’s condition

The first responders who arrived at the scene of the accident were the ones who committed the second mistake, who did not realize the seriousness of the conditions in which he found himself. Schumacher, misled by the fact that the seven-time Formula 1 world champion appeared to be conscious. This gave rise to the decision to transport the former Ferrari driver by helicopter to the hospital in the small town of Moutierswhere however he never arrived given that, due to the worsening of his condition during the journey, he was diverted to the hospital in Grenoble, where he was operated on. Those lost minutes would later prove decisive.

Corinna: “Schumi is different but he’s there”

Two years ago Schumi’s wife, Corinna, stated that her husband “is there, he is different but he is there. I never blamed God for what happened. It was just bad luck, as it could happen to anyone – said the wife of the seven-time Formula 1 champion –. Of course, I miss him every day. But I’m not the only one who misses it. The children, the family, his father, everyone around him. Everyone misses Michael. But Michael is there. It’s different, but it’s there. And that gives us strength, I think.”
