With an effort never made in history, researchers, biologists and the pharmaceutical industry have developed several vaccines against Sars-CoV-2 in less than a year. Leaving behind other great results achieved also with the contribution of artificial intelligence VOTE YOUR MOST IMPORTANT DISCOVERY

On January 10, Chinese scientists had made public the genetic makeup of the Sars-CoV-2 coronavirus, filed in the GenBank database under the number MN908947. In February, the World Health Organization said that there would hardly be a vaccine against the Covid-19 pandemic for 18 months. But as early as March, some companies had started Phase I vaccine testing. On 11 August, the first vaccine (Gam-COVID-Vac) was registered in Russia, followed seven days later by China (Ad5-nCoV). The first vaccinations began in November, although none of the 57 vaccines made had yet fully completed phase III testing. However, it was a never-before-seen collective effort (and with never-before-seen grants) in the history of medicine and science to quickly achieve a result against a virus that caused over 1.66 million deaths as of 18 December 2020, 75 millions of infected people (according to official data) and the worst economic disaster since the end of the Second World War.
