According to a press release from the Moroccan embassy in Budapest, this participation is part of the strengthening of cooperation between the Kingdom and Hungary in the medical and scientific fields.

This training allowed the Moroccan delegation, composed of around thirty participants, to strengthen the capacities of its members and to immerse themselves in the know-how of the famous Hungarian professor Istvan Urban and the latest practices and experiences in dental implantation and bone regeneration techniques.

It constituted, explains the same source, a first step towards strengthening cooperation between AMIED and the “Urban Institute for Regeneration”.

In this context, a second training cycle will take place next February within the same Institute for the benefit of other members of AMIED, a scientific and non-profit association, bringing together several hundred Moroccan, Maghreb and African dental surgeons and which organizes scientific meetings as well as very high-level dental training on a national and international scale.

At the end of this training, the members of the delegation had a meeting with the Moroccan ambassador to Hungary, Karima Kabbaj, during which an exchange was held on the quality of relations between Morocco and Hungary and the excellent cooperation that exists between the two countries and which continues to grow to cover various areas including training and scientific research.

Ms. Kabbaj reiterated on this occasion the readiness of the Embassy of the Kingdom in Hungary to continue working towards rapprochement between the two countries, including in the scientific and medical fields, as well as for the strengthening of exchanges and the sharing of good practices between professionals in the health sector, the statement added.

It should be recalled that Morocco and Hungary recently signed three memoranda of understanding for cooperation on “scientific and technological research”, “higher education and the Hungarian scholarship program ‘Stipendium Hungaricum’ for the period 2020-2022”, as well as on “training and education in the peaceful use of nuclear energy”.

It is also worth recalling the establishment from November 2019 of a cycle of regular academic meetings between Moroccan and Hungarian universities.
