## Lawyer on Alleged Corruption Charges: “Even a Fool Can Understand That This Accusation Is Technically Implausible”
GENOA – “It is truly unacceptable that journalistic sources go so far as to leak information that is even completely improbable.” This is the declaration of lawyer Nicola Scodnik, legal defender of the publisher of Primocanale, Maurizio Ross, who is accused of corruption in an investigation involving the region, the port, and businesses.
Scodnik claims that the way this investigation is being conducted “convinces us more and more of the fact that all this is, evidently, the result of the sole desire to promote the daily visibility of the investigation not in objective terms, but rather unbalanced in an accusatory perspective.”
The lawyer adds: “In this case, all limits have been crossed. Although criminal action has been brought in relation to specific corruption cases against well-identified individuals (including Rossi), it is now being insinuated that the case also involves Rossi’s participation. Which, as even an unwary person can see, is technically wrong because it is inconsistent with the logic of the charges formalized in the immediate trial already scheduled and which will be held in November.”
