Scooter rental company Emmy also becomes a car rental company

by time news

BerlinThe orange-red scooters have been part of the cityscape for years. They existed long before the e-scooter and rental bike invasion and they were the first two-wheelers that you could rent via app like a car from Car2go and Drivenow and simply park again when you reached your destination. The Berlin company Emmy, founded in 2015, is considered a pioneer of smartphone-supported short-term rental of two-wheelers in this country and was also the first ambassador for the electric scooter as an alternative to two- and four-stroke petrol scooters. After six years, however, Emmy is giving up its independence. The Israeli company Goto Global has taken over the Berlin rental company. A purchase price is not known.
