Once the good physical conditions of all those present were confirmed, the group was accompanied by rescuers first on foot to the vehicles and then on board to the group’s campsite, a little further down the valley. The second call to the single emergency number 112 came shortly after midnight, from a group of six other underage scouts, who were spending the night at the Artuich bivouac, at 1,976 meters above sea level. One of the girls present complained of symptoms of congestion.
