The ‘Seoul Drama Awards 2024’ (SDA 2024), which is in its 19th year this year, apologized for canceling the congratulatory performance for the band N.Flying’s Yoo Hoe-seung.
The ‘Seoul Drama Awards 2024’ posted a statement on their official website on the 26th, saying, “We apologize for the fact that Yoo Hoe-seung’s performance, which was scheduled to take place at the awards ceremony held on the 25th, could not take place.”
He continued, “During the live broadcast of the awards ceremony, the on-site situation was delayed more than expected when the first part ended, so the performance could not take place. We sincerely apologize to the artists who did their best to prepare a great stage, the fans who waited for the stage, and the viewers.”
He also added, “We conveyed our deepest apologies to the artist immediately after the live broadcast and promised that something like this would not happen again in the future.” He continued, “The organizing committee promises to prepare more thoroughly and make more efforts to prevent something like this from happening again in the future.”
Yoo Hoe-seung was scheduled to perform on stage at the ‘Seoul Drama Awards 2024’ celebration concert held at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul on the 25th, but it was suddenly canceled, leaving questions. In addition, since Yoo Hoe-seung had posted about the process of preparing and waiting for the stage on Instagram, criticism followed for the sudden cancellation.
A post was also made on N.Flying’s official social media account that read, “The ‘Seoul Drama Awards 2024’ congratulatory performance scheduled for today has been canceled due to on-site delays.” The post continued, “We apologize to the fans who have been waiting and ask for your understanding once again.”
