SDG: Arise IIP rewarded internationally by the Reuters agency

DIG/ On Wednesday, November 1, 2023, the 15th Responsible Business Awards ceremony was held, organized by Reuters.

This annual ceremony was an opportunity to reward the most advanced companies in the fields of the environment and social governance.

“We are proud to announce that Arise Integrated Industrial Platforms (ARISE IIP) was honored at this prestigious event, receiving an award in the SDG Pioneer category.

In addition to this distinction, we also had the honor of being finalists in the Circular Transition category, which rewards innovation in the field of the circular economy. Since its commissioning in 2023, the plant has achieved remarkable milestones:

production of nearly 180,000 wood particle panels by the end of 2023;
increase in the log utilization rate to nearly 90% compared to 44% nationally;
ability to avoid the combustion of nearly 350 tonnes of wood waste per day;
average reduction of 32,000 tonnes of CO2 emitted annually.

“This collective success was made possible thanks to our partnership with the Gabonese government, in collaboration with the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC). We are delighted to share this recognition with our valued audience”, underlined an Arise IIP manager.

With more than 700 entries from world-renowned companies, including major players such as UPS, The Coca-Cola Company, Paypal, EY, Mastercard, Bank of America, from more than 51 countries, the winners of these prices were selected by a panel of 25 independent skirts.

“This distinction reaffirms GSEZ’s commitment to sustainable industrialization and innovation, and contributes to promoting Gabon’s international reputation,” he added.
