The European cycling festival that Girona has hosted for seven years continues to grow and every year its international projection increases. The Sea Otter Europe entered the two strong days this Saturday with the forecast of equaling, at least, the figure of 60,000 visitors of the previous edition and of exceeding by far the number of nationalities present among participants and audience, reaching more than 80. The organization notes that more and more people from outside Catalonia are interested in seeing and experiencing a real cycling festival.

Among the more than 405 brands and 260 stands, the festival wanted to focus on the urban mobility segment, for which it has reserved an exclusive space. Apart from the fair area itself, throughout the weekend visitors and fans of this sport can ride various circuits throughout the city with 500 bikes that can be rented for free, and that are adapted to the size of each person. This Saturday at 6 p.m., a guided outing is actually planned.

The star test of today’s day was the non-competitive 125 kilometer CycloBrava, which covered the most emblematic roads of Les Gavarres for cycling. First-class professionals such as Carlos Verona or the now-retired Alejandro Valverde have participated. In the afternoon, the focus will be on the Eliminator Continental Series and tomorrow the festival will conclude with the Massi Super Cup, the main competitive event.
