Vladimir Putin decorates a “soldier priest” killed in Ukraine. The Russian president posthumously awarded Russia’s highest decoration to an Orthodox priest who was recently killed in Ukraine. In a statement, the Kremlin said that Mikhail Vasilyev was awarded the title “Hero of the Russian Federation” for “his courage and his heroism in the fulfillment of his civic duty”. The latter had notably recommended to the mothers of Russian soldiers to have more children to alleviate their grief.
