Well, Robin Haase didn’t expect this either. That he would also get a chance in singles in Paris. But after the last-minute withdrawals of Andy Murray, Holger Rune, and Jannik Sinner, the amiable Dutchman is now taking another singles match as well. This will be his third Olympics after 2012 and 2016.
This shouldn’t be bad news for Sebastian Ofner. Because Robin Haase actually no longer has a singles ranking. The Styrian is clearly the favorite, despite his health issues.
