Could Sebastian Stan be gotham’s next district attorney, destined for a tragic fall? The possibility emerged earlier this week when Deadline reported that Stan was in advanced discussions to join the cast of the highly anticipated sequel. Initial speculation centered on whether he might portray Hush or Talon, two of Batman’s most cunning adversaries.
Though, the answer arrived in an unexpected form: through Instagram. Michael Fisher, Stan’s stylist, seemingly let slip the news by reposting images of the actor transformed into Harvey dent.The coincidence was too striking to ignore, effectively confirming the casting.
While the reports currently specify “Harvey Dent,” there’s no explicit mention of his villainous alter ego, Two-Face. in the comics, Dent is initially a respected district attorney and ally of Bruce Wayne, until a brutal acid attack disfigures him, driving him to madness and a life of crime defined by coin-flip decisions.
two-Face has been brought to life on screen before, most notably by Aaron Eckhart in The Dark Knight, and Tommy Lee Jones in Batman Forever. Stan’s take on the character promises a fresh interpretation of the iconic villain.
If finalized, Stan will reunite with a familiar face from his Marvel days: Scarlett Johansson, who has already signed on for The Batman 2 and is rumored to be playing Dent’s wife. The sequel will also feature Robert Pattinson reprising his role as Batman and Colin Farrell returning as the Penguin,though plot details remain under wraps.
The Batman 2 is currently slated for release on October 1, 2027.
