One 5.7 magnitude earthquake hits Romania
, in southeastern Europe, this Tuesday (14). It is the second earthquake of similar magnitude to hit the country in the last 24 hours. Fortunately, no serious damage was reported in either case.

The tremor on Tuesday occurred at 15:16 in the county of Gorj
to a depth of approx. 40 kilometers (25 miles)
according to data from the National Institute of Earth Physics of Romania.

The earthquake was felt by people in the capital, Bucharest, and in the city of Cluj, in the north of the country

Local emergency officials said in a statement on Tuesday that they had not received any calls related to the earthquake and that no damage or casualties had been reported in Gorj county.

On Monday, a magnitude 5.2 earthquake was also reported in Go County
rj, at a depth of 13.2 kilometers (8 miles). Aftershocks above magnitude 3 followed both earthquakes.
