Second hand switch – settings and use of previous user games – consoles

by time news

Peace,
New to Nintendo matters and would appreciate help and clarifications-
I bought the boy a 2nd hand switch including 2 physical games, I opened my Nintendo account (under the US) and made a child account for the boy under me in FAMILY. Then I opened a user for me and him on the switch and linked them to our accounts. In addition, on the switch there is the user of the person from whom I bought the switch, which I have not yet deleted or removed anything from.
Is it ok or is there another better way? Is there anything else I should do with the second-hand device (which belonged to a friend’s child, so there is no problem of hiding something from it or buying additional games on its behalf – something I will not do in any case)?

In addition, there are some games on the device (I assume digital) of the person I bought from. You have a few questions:
1. If I play these games with my user and my child – can the person I bought from can or may at some point cancel my ability to play or delete the games or my progress in them? If so – if I buy them myself later – will my progress in them be saved when I open them?
2. Does he even know if I play the remaining games? Could it cause him any problems?
3. If I remove his user – will the digital games on the device be deleted as well?
4. Is it possible to just delete the user data of the previous user without deleting the games?

Thanks for the helpers
