Taizul Islam of Bangladesh took 6 wickets in the first innings of the 2nd Test against South Africa.

Port Elizabeth:

The 2nd Test between South Africa and Bangladesh is underway. South Africa captain Dean Elgar won the toss and elected to bat first.

Accordingly, batting first, South Africa were all out for 453 in the first innings. Keshav Maharaj scored 84, Elgar 70, Bauma 67 and Peterson 64.

For Bangladesh, Taizul Islam took 6 wickets and Khalid Ahmed took 3 wickets.

Following this, Bangladesh were bowled out for 217 in the first innings. Mushfiqur Rahim scored 51 and Tamim Iqbal 47.

For South Africa, Mulder, Harmer took 3 wickets each and Oliver and Maharaj took 2 wickets each.

South Africa declared their second innings at 176 for 6 with a lead of 236 runs.

Bangladesh’s Taizul Islam took 3 wickets and Mehdi Hasan took 2 wickets.

Following this, Bangladesh set a target of 413 runs. At the end of the third day, Bangladesh scored 27 runs for the loss of 3 wickets.
