Concern about high temperatures has led to the activation of both orange and yellow alerts in various demarcations. The Orange Alert covers areas such as Azcapotzalco, Benito Juárez, Cuauhtémoc, Gustavo A. Madero, Iztacalco, Iztapalapa, Miguel Hidalgo and Venustiano Carranza,.
While the Yellow Alert covers municipalities such as Álvaro Obregón and Tlalpan. This forecast extends from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.when the heat is expected to peak.
Rains will give a respite against heat in Mexico City
However, the afternoon could bring a respite, as scattered light rainaccompanied by variable winds which will range between 15 and 30 km/h, with gusts of up to 45 km/h.
