US Attorney General Merrick Garland announced on Thursday that he has appointed Robert Hur as special counsel to investigate documents found in US President Joe Biden’s Delaware home and Washington office.
A second batch of classified documents was found today (Thursday) at US President Joe Biden’s Delaware home.
The first batch was found in his office in Washington last fall, according to media reports.
An initial batch of at least 10 documents was discovered in November 2022 at the Penn Biden Center near the White House. The incident came to light today with the discovery of a second package.
The files allegedly contained US intelligence memos, along with some briefing material on Ukraine, Iran and Britain.
