The new secretary has joined the Bangladesh National Parliament Secretariat. Md. Anwar Ulyah. At this time, the officers and employees of the Parliament Secretariat greeted him with flowers.

This information was informed in the press release sent from the Parliament Secretariat on Tuesday (September 17).

According to the Parliament Secretariat, in the meeting held with the senior officials of the Parliament Secretariat, he emphasized on completing the restoration work of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan, which was damaged after the mass uprising of the students on August 5, at the earliest. In the order issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on September 15, Additional Secretary attached to the Department of Statistics and Information Management Dr. Md. Anwar Ullah was posted as secretary in the National Parliament Secretariat.

He joined Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration) Cadre in 1991. He was working in various positions at the upazila, district and departmental levels of additional inspector general and field administration of the Directorate of Inspection of Factories and Institutions under the Ministry of Labor and Employment. Besides, he has experience of working in Finance Department (Budget Division), Ministry of Public Administration and Ministry of Social Welfare.

He ranked 19th and 8th respectively in the merit list of secondary and higher secondary examinations and obtained honors and masters degrees from the Department of Accountancy from Dhaka University with merit. He holds MBA and Post Graduation Diploma in Managerial Control and Management Information Systems from Matchstrict School of Management, Netherlands.

He holds FCMA degree from ICMAB. He obtained his PhD from the Asian Institute of Technology Thailand.

His 12 research articles have been published in national and international journals on various topics including extraction of local resources and maximum use of resources in local development, strengthening of local government, national budget management, official information management.
