Secretary, worker arrested for taking bribe from farmer at paddy procurement center near Veppur

Veppur: Ramachandran (44), a resident of Pinchanur village, is working as a temporary list clerk at the Direct Paddy Procurement Station next to Veppur in Cuddalore district. Here Krishnasamy (45) from Poolamedu village in Chidambaram circle is a load lifter. Here farmer Alakuvel has registered on the internet to buy paddy. He was allotted a token to buy paddy on March 12. But the list clerk has asked Ramachandran not to buy the paddy. He demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 for 200 bundles of paddy at the rate of Rs 50 per bundle.

Following this, Alakuvel lodged a complaint with the Cuddalore Anti-Corruption Police. In that regard, the Cuddalore District Anti-Corruption Police in disguise disguised themselves as farmers at around 12 midnight the day before yesterday and were throwing bundles of paddy at the direct paddy procurement center. Krishnasamy then bought 10 thousand rupees worth of chemicals from Alakuveli and gave it to the list clerk Ramachandran. The police immediately arrested the two.
