The head of the Agency for Investment and Trade Development of Slovakia, Robert Simoncic, following the results of a business forum in Baku, announced those areas of cooperation in which Slovakia can share experience with Azerbaijan, Day.Az reports on Tuesday with reference to Trend.
“Slovakia is actively developing the fields of energy, ICT, electronics production, the automotive industry, the space industry and satellite technologies, and can share experience in these areas. Today, important documents were signed in Baku that create the foundation for even greater cooperation,” he emphasized.
According to Simoncic, in 2023, Slovakia exported goods worth 8 million euros to Azerbaijan, and imported goods worth 1 million euros.
“However, the signing of the intergovernmental Agreement on the Avoidance of Double Taxation in April 2024 (will come into force in January 2025) and the new agreements concluded on May 7 in Baku will increase trade volumes between our countries,” added Robert Simoncic.
