Security: a connected bracelet to alert contacts in case of danger

by time news

The French start-up MyEli has designed a bracelet capable of discreetly calling for help in the event of an attack. Connected via Bluetooth with a smartphone, it works with an application that allows you to personalize several automatic messages, sent with one or two clicks on the jewel.

Awarded in January 2022 at the World New Technology Show in Las Vegas, MyEli designed this bracelet by giving it an elegant black stone in the middle; it is she who discreetly contains electronic components. Thanks to them, one click on the jewel allows you to send a personalized message to 5 different people, and two clicks allow you to send a second message. It is also possible to send a GPS position to backup contacts, although the company assures that there is no “no GPS tracking”.

The bracelet thus becomes a tool to protect oneself from daily insecurities, or to reassure loved ones in all circumstances. Sold at €95, it is available in silver, leather, golden brass and cord, to remain elegant and discreet.

This type of jewelry is already very popular with elderly people in vulnerable situations. To cope with the loss of autonomy, different brands offer their tools for seniors. Pendants, for example, allow elderly people to contact their loved ones or their assistance service at the touch of a button. To know the position of the person, a GPS system is often integrated, which allows the geolocation to be rescued at any time. There are also connected shoes or belts, which send mobile alerts to loved ones when they detect a fall.
