The Knesset officer, Superintendent Yuval Chen, decided to increase security around the chairman of ‘Otzma Yehudit’, MK Itamar Ben Gvir, due to the threats against him. Now, the level of security on Ben Gvir is similar to the security of the defense minister.
According to the publication in Yedioth Ahronoth, due to hundreds of threats on his life, the level of security on Ben Gvir has been raised to the level corresponding to the Minister of Defense, the second level secured in Israel.
Among other things, Ben Gvir gets to ride in an armored vehicle and security guards and security cameras are placed under his house. In addition, the dog unit of the Knesset Guard scans places that MK Ben Gvir is expected to visit.
It will be recalled that only last week, after MK Ben Gvir’s visit to the entrance to the room of the terrorist Daoud Zabeidi at Rambam Hospital in Haifa and the announcement today of his death, the threats on his life increased.

MK Itamar Ben Gvir responded: “I will not shy away from threats on my life and hope that the police and the GSS will work effectively to investigate the threats and find the intimidators, some of whom come from the Islamic movement. I will continue to work for the people of Israel and Israel.”
